Saturday Nov 28th –
Guide Meeting at Dark 30 (when you get out of the woods) at Sawtooth Oak Farms 14850 Hwy 49, Gold Hill, NC 28071
*Guides and families are invited after hunting to come here for a brief meeting, a great meal (Sponsored by JB’s Deer Processing and Broome’s Poultry), and to pick up you hunt goodies. We encourage as many of you to make it as possible. This is our 2nd year in the new location so there will be new information for all!!
SPONSORS: If you are a sponsor, please plan to get your sponsor goodies at this meeting as well.
LANDOWNER: If you have a landowner letting you use property for this event then please take them hunt swag.
Friday, Dec 4th –
SIXTY ACRES, A GATHERING PLACE
2101 GOLD HILL RD EAST, MT. PLEASANT, NC 28124
- Gun Range Open at 10am, no appointment
- Registration begins at 10am followed by a period of meet and greet while everyone is being registered. Guides and Volunteers will help hunters get goodie bags and gifts to their cars.
- We will have Safety Meeting, Opening Prayer, National Anthem by Amanda Rowland, Special Music, and The Pledge of Allegiance just before lunch.
(Stand as you are able, remove your hat, place hand on your heart as is appropriate)
- After lunch, which will be a Fish Fry Sponsored by the Cody Family and community fishermen, we will take a group/s photo/s, and hunters will leave with guides for the afternoon hunt. Dessert Donations will be appreciated.
- Supper (Soups, Stews, Salads, and Pastas Night. Donations Appreciated) will be served at “Dark 30” which means when you get out of the woods and return to the Sawtooth Oak Farms Hunt at Sixty Acres. We will serve as they come in to avoid extra-long lines, but wish for hunters to be served before general community.
Saturday, Dec 5th
- Morning hunt – breakfast, time, travel, and meeting place will be determined between guide and hunter. (We will have coffee, tea, water, and some pastries for those that meet or swing by Sixty Acres, but not a full breakfast). Speak to your guide/hunter and make plans that fit you both!
- Return to Sixty Acres after the morning hunt. We will start lunch at 1130am. East Coast Wings of Albemarle is donating 1200 wings!
- Guides!! Help Divide Deer into coolers for your hunter before and after pic – help them get it iced down for travel.
- Group Photo Saturday at 1pm
- Afternoon Hunt – again, departure, travel, etc. will be determined between guide and hunter
- Supper will be served at “Dark 30” Sponsored by Wells, Jenkins, Wells Fresh Meats, Broome’s Poultry, and Roland’s Backyard Cooking. Donations of Sides and Desserts Appreciated.
- General Raffle, 60/30 Gun Bonus Raffle Draw and Auction will be held as supper concludes.
- Please help clear/load anything you can to help us clear out of Sixty Acres and leave it as clean as possible.
- End of the Sawtooth Oak Farms 20th Annual Event!!
Sunday, Dec 6th
- Clean-up for any that would be able, willing, or interested in helping will begin around 730am at Sixty Acres. TIA to all that come help us move out!

Things to note:
Please reach out to your hunter soon! Establish a connection with them and be their point of contact for all things Sawtooth Oak Farms Hunt. Ask about their disability and capabilities as it pertains to firearm and hunting safety.
Adaptive Devices if your hunter needs something, we will see if we can get it. We have a few tripods, blinds, night sites, and trigger mechanisms. You will need time to “play” and learn with some of these things to be ready when it is GO time, so let us know as quickly as possible.
If your hunter shows on their registration that they will need lodging, I will be in touch with that later. I ALMOST promise you will know where to go when it is time.
If your hunter shows on their registration that they will need a license, we will have those ready for them at sign in at registration that will start at 10am on Friday, Dec 4.
Assistant Guides - If you have an assistant, please relay pertinent information to them. They will need to sign a waiver that was included in your online registration. Please bring them to the safety meeting! Please bring your families if you would like.
