Annual Turkey Hunt

Date: April 24-25, 2026

Itinerary AKA “The Game Plan” 2026

Friday, April 24

  • Registration begins at 10am followed by a period of meet and greet while everyone is registered. Those that need to shoot with their guide should take turns during this time.
  • We will have a safety meeting once registration is complete.
  • Opening Prayer, National Anthem, and The Pledge of Allegiance will take place just before lunch. You are required to be respectful! Please stand as you are able, remove your hat, place your hand on your heart as is appropriate.
  • After lunch, provided by East Coast Wings of Albemarle, we will take a group photo and then hunters will leave with their assigned guides for an afternoon hunt.
  • Supper will be served at 630-ish which means…when you get out of the woods and return to Sawtooth Oak Farms! You don’t want to miss this! We have Roland’s Backyard Cooking to serve up the good stuff!!

Saturday, April 25

  • Morning hunt – breakfast, time, travel, and meeting placed will be determined between guide and hunter. (Sawtooth will have coffee, tea, water, and some pastries for those that meet here or swing by but not a full breakfast. Speak to your Turkey Team and make plans that fit you!
  • Return to Sawtooth after morning hunt for lunch around 1130 if you wish. We understand that some will likely head home after the morning hunt.

We will be breaking things down and cleaning things up after lunch if you would like to help, it would be fantastic!

Things to note:

Please reach out to your hunter soon! Establish a connection with them and be their point of contact for all things Sawtooth Oak Farms Hunt. Ask about their disability and capabilities as it pertains to firearm and hunting safety.

Adaptive Devices if your hunter needs something, we will see if we can get it. We have a few tripods, blinds, night sites, and trigger mechanisms. You will need time to “play” and learn with some of these things to be ready when it is GO time, so let us know as quickly as possible.

If your hunter shows they will need lodging, I will be in touch with that later. I ALMOST promise you will know where to go when it is time.

If your hunter shows they will need a license, we will have those ready for them at sign in at registration that will start at 10am on Friday, April 24.

Assistant Guides please relay pertinent information to them. They will need to sign a waiver that was included in your online registration. Please bring them to the safety meeting! Please bring your families if you would like.
